LIMNMEDIA - Track Drive Motor Bracket Fitment
This set of images shows the motor mounting bracket being fitted to the motor mount cross brace for the track drive.
The cross brace sits between the main track supports, right at the end of the ball screw where the track drive motor is located.
Fitment
The motor bracket is attached to this cross brace and includes slotted mounting holes.
These slots allow for:
- small positional adjustments of the motor
- alignment of the shaft with the drive
- basic tensioning where needed
It’s a simple but important detail that gives some flexibility during setup.
Notes
This is a fairly straightforward step, but it’s one of those that makes later adjustments much easier.
Having that small amount of movement in the mount helps:
- dial in alignment
- avoid binding
- make assembly and maintenance more manageable
Context
This ties into the overall track drive system:
- motor
- ball screw
- linear motion of the base
At this point, the focus is just making sure everything lines up cleanly and can be adjusted as needed.
